Training and Support

Training and Support

We deliver a range of dementia training for friends, family, volunteers, staff, and organisations to help them think differently about dementia and equip them with the skills and confidence they need in their role.

Friends and Family carers education

Our educational programs are suited to support the specific needs of people living with dementia, families and carers.

  • Helping families: to assist people with dementia at home.

  • Practical hints and tips: to help you in your support role.

Raising Dementia Awareness in Schools

Educational talks help children understand dementia and why caring for the brain matters.

  • These sessions: raise children’s awareness about dementia and encourage them to think about brain health in their daily lives, whether choosing sports and activities or considering future roles as employees or employers.

  • Our goal is: to help children develop empathy and a better understanding of dementia, preparing them to be more supportive and aware as they grow up.

“Understanding Dementia” Training for Professionals and Volunteers

Affordable training is designed to support professionals and volunteers to create inclusive experiences for people with dementia. Our approach focuses on the person, not just the condition, and explores what’s possible with the right support.

  • We work across many sectors: including care homes, the NHS, local councils, housing associations, and schools.

  • Our goal is: to empower individuals, helping them feel more confident, capable, and positive in their roles, while fostering more inclusive and supportive spaces for those living with dementia.
